Projects worth RO 345,000 launched in north Al Batinah

Four projects, worth RO 345,000, were launched by Jusoor Foundation as part of its social investment program in the Governorate of North Al Batinah. OQ and Sohar Aluminium jointly funded the projects. The ceremony was held in Shinas' Al Qurm Natural Park under the auspices of Secretary General for Governorates Affairs, Sayyid Khalifa Al Mardas Al Busaidi. Jusoor Foundation Board of Directors Chairman Sheikh Saif Hamiyar Al Malik Al Shehhi attended the event.

Projects worth RO 345,000 launched in north Al Batinah

Al Qurm Natural Park will be developed in the Wilayat of Shinas at a total cost of RO 200,000, funded by Sohar Aluminium and OQ, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior. The development will include the implementation of a 3 km walkway, an arena theatre, a migratory bird viewing platform, 11 family rest areas and barbecue sites, as well as the construction of a crossing bridge over the waterway, children's games, green fields and a cafe. It also included the establishment of a park gate, mosque, security booth, toilets and parking lot.

A second project will consist of creating a park in the mountainous area of Al Hayleen in the Wilayat of A'Suwaiq covering an area of 2,000 square metres. which is surrounded by a 320-metre walkway. The park is equipped with children rides, as well as a cafe, toilets and family rest areas, to the tune of RO 55,000 funded by Sohar Aluminium.

The third project will be to provide equipment to clean beaches in the wilayats of the Governorate. To complete this project, which was funded by OQ, RO 40,000 was needed. In addition to the supply and installation of 60 recreational rides for public parks in the Wilayat of Sohar for a total cost of RO 50,000 funded by OQ.

Sheikh Saif Hamiyar Al Shehhi, Governor of North Al Batinah, said, “These projects fall within the programme of social projects implemented by Jusoor Foundation that contributes to cultural development.
Sheikh Saif also pointed out that the Board of Directors of Jusoor Foundation takes into account that the projects are sustainable and benefit the public. “Jusoor Foundation continues to implement other projects as per an annual action plan, which demonstrated its positive role in the Wilayats of the Governorate of North Al Batinah.” he added.

Al Mutasim Said Al Sariri, Member of the Board of Directors of Jusoor Foundation, Representative of OQ, said, “These social projects reflect the extent of the real partnership between the government and the private sectors and proves the achievement of social responsibility. OQ is constantly working to continuously contribute to sustainable development projects, especially those that meet the aspirations of the community, whether through projects implemented by Jusoor Foundation, projects implemented by OQ directly, or those carried out in partnership with some government institutions.
